The Impact of Charles Dickens

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for our free online International Conference on 17th and 18th September, which is dedicated to assessing the impact of Dickens on the world at large — it’s built around a series of panel discussions, with performances an introductory address by Ian Dickens, great-great-great grandson of the novelist, and finishing with the launch of a new University of Buckingham online resource for Dickens Studies. Contributors from the USA, Japan, Italy, Luxembourg, Iraq, and all over the UK!

In addition, for any of you who followed our Edwin Drood readalong, or who has accessed and used The Droor Inquiry, we would very much like you to join in Panel 6 on Day 2 of the conference @17:50 and 18.10for the ‘Dickens Journals Online: Serial Readalong Participants’ and ‘The Drood Inquiry‘ forums.
Just go to https://dickensimpact.art.blog to register!

I'm course director of the MA in Charles Dickens Studies at the University of Buckingham in conjunction with the Dickens Museum in London. I am currently editing Pictures from Italy for the Oxford Dickens collection, and I'm Chief Investigator for The Drood Inquiry (www.droodinquiry.com). My book "The Mystery of Edwin Drood: Charles Dickens’s unfinished novel and our endless attempts to end it" was published by Pen and Sword Books in 2018.
